Tule Vyema

Non-communicable diseases account for over 50% of hospital admissions in Kenya. This is a clear indication of poor feeding habits. Tule Vyema exists to raise awareness of proper feeding habits through holding nutrition health talks to equip community members with best feeding practices and training young unemployed women of reproductive age to cultivate indigenous vegetables on vertical gardens for their consumption and sale of the surplus to meet other household needs.

So far we have been able to equip over 1,500 community members with best feeding habits through the nutrition health talks, made over 800 households food secure through vertical gardening and dewormed over 1000 school going children so as to eliminate intestinal worms that may negate the proper feeding habits acquired.
