At BieM-Bioetanol Mendoza, we are dedicated to improving residue valorization with the aim of slowing down the agricultural expansion. That is why we have been developing an alternative to food-based bioethanol by using grape pomace, the main residue of winemaking.

Due to the rising demand of bioethanol in the world, there has been an advancement of energetic crops over areas with environmental, social and cultural value. As a result, several countries are promoting laws for enhancing the consumption of Second Generation Biofuels, which are obtained from residues.

Over the last four years, we have created a network and developed processes that are essential in exploring this further.
